I also have to make …
I also have to make a confession: I use Mac OS sometimes (mostly when I have to record emulators, as they don’t run perfectly in Linux for some reason, and Windows 7 hates stereo mix, so I can’t use that). Fortunately, Mac OS is only a small partition on my drive (about 70 gigs), while the rest (about 300) is my main Arch side (where I do all my everyday work).

@TWILTalks Have …
@TWILTalks Have mixed feelings on it. I get the logic and know some Win users swear by it, but also know many my self included, and sound like you to, get in a bit of a boxing match with it if they are more of a power user. I can see how the feature can be useful but wish that a use classic layout option was in the settings for people who often have 5+ open as at that point it is just annoying. This and the lack of ability to scale the start menu are just ehh things that can be annoying

@TheShowThatSUX …
@TheShowThatSUX luckily I don’t use any of those sorts of effects in Linux, so I haven’t been trying them in Windows. I will say, though, the “superbar” whatever it is at the bottom? It’s not bad, until you get multiples of the same type of window open, then it’s just sort of obnoxious. And setting it to keep multiple windows separate just makes things worse.

YouTube is glitching again. took 5 tries to post this as it keep saying i was not logged in. But only for this vid?
Any ways W7 is odd like you say it has a lot of Lin like quality. What drives me nuts is my instinct is always to put my mouse up in the corner to tile the windows and then have to remember oh ya Windows Hope you dont start doing that as win can actually get more annoying when you eye gets confused for a sec

Jordan, as you well know I am in a Windows world also… with the Food Bank having about 25 Win XP workstations, and 5 Win 7 workstations, including mine which I am truly liking. Our servers are 1 x Server 2003 and 2 x Server 2008.
Have you tried using Windows Powershell yet?
All this said, I love coming home to my Linux machines!

Windows 7 is just a sad attempt to be as good as Linux. Fortunately anything closed source will always be inferior to open source.

Windows 7 is a usable Windows OS Jordan. You should be kind to it. M$ has tried hard. You have to admit that it’s the best Windows OS to date. Yes it’s not Linux but you HAVE TO admit that it’s not a pain like previous Windows OS’s.
