I have a 1525 from …
I have a 1525 from the year before, the only differences really are: 1525 has 4 USB, dial up, and 2 headphone jacks not 1, has S-Video and its silver on the inside and it has HDMI, and the 1545 has 800MHz ram instead of 667MHz

Specs:
June, 2008 base model
2GHz Core 2 Duo (Merom) T5750
2GB DDR2 667MHz (Upgraded to 4GB)
120GB 5400rpm HDD
Intel GMA X3100 (yuck)
Vista Home Basic (now it has 7 home premium)
1280×800 15.4 inch screen

@sonic3243 I had a windows XP laptop. the XP driver model is basically identical to the W2K one. so it should work. But I dont recommend it, since usb and wifi can be a little tricky in w2k on newer laptops.

We have this laptop …
We have this laptop! Except we got it in early 2009 before windows 7 came out, so it came preinstalled with Windows Vista SP2 with all the original Dell OEM programs on it. We got the red coloured front for it as well. Very good laptop I should say.
