Windows 7 Home Basic VS Windows 7 Starter
It’s really sad that this version of Windows 7 is reserved for “developing countries” I wish Microsoft would allow OEMs to install this on netbooks.
just some features Home Basic has over Starter
64bit edition (as well as 32bit)
DVD playback (native)
Custom Wallpaper (native)
Dual monitor support
Some Aero features such as “Aero Peek”
Better looking GUI looking more like Vista/7 Home Premium+ rather than “Basic Theme”
Both take up 6.3GB of disk space on my test system with a fresh install before updates.
Why did Microsoft release Starter Edition 
they should have just given everyone Home Basic instead. I mean having to mess with the registry just to install a wallpaper?
I can make a much higher quality version of this video if people are interested. even going so far as to compare Starter, Home Basic and Home Premium. Let me know in the comments if you are interested or you think that’s a good idea.

Honestly microsoft is true bullshit for not allowing changable backgrounds but im sure 3rd party software can fix that.
